Overview
Unlock the power of FinTech with Bloc
Welcome to the Bloc API.
Our Developer Documentation will walk you through all of the steps of integrating financial services into your application. From your system set up (authentication, setting up webhooks, request structure, etc.) to creating financial products (accounts, transfers, cards, etc.), expect a detailed guide on going live with the Bloc API.
We treat each business as a standalone organization. To use the Bloc API, we require you to sign up and create your Bloc account (or sign in if you already have one). You need to be signed in on the Bloc Dashboard to access and manage your organization's authentication keys, users, applications, customers, transactions, accounts and everything else that you do with the Bloc API.
Consider the Bloc Dashboard as your admin/back-office operations tool for monitoring and tracking everything that's going on with your integration. Additionally, the Dashboard gives you more control over the financial services that you offer with Bloc.
This section covers the basic concepts you need to be familiar with to make the most of the Bloc API.

Bank Partners
Bloc is connected to 4 banking partners.
- Bloc Microfinance Bank
- Providus Bank
- Zenith Bank
- Sterling Bank
Our default bank partner is Banc Corp Microfinance Bank. Bloc owns a banking licence via Banc Corp MFB, allowing us to be able to offer fully proprietary virtual accounts and transfers infrastructure to our customers. All of our virtual accounts are Banc Corp MFB bank account numbers (no middleman).
Banc Corp MFB is also directly integrated with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) infrastructure. All financial products Bloc offers that require a licence are duly licensed and compliant with the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) rules and regulations.
